PRIMERAMENTE UTILIZAMOS  VERBO TO BE en TIEMPO PASADO

 SINGULAR: WAS = Fue, Fui, era, estaba, estuve.

PLURAL: WERE = Fueron, Fuimos, éramos, estábamos, estuvimos

1.-Einstein, Albert (1879-1955)

(+) 1. He was born in Germany. (El nació en Alemania)

(-) He was not  born in Germany . (El no nació en Alemania).

(?) Was he born in Germany?

Answers: Yes, he was/ No, he wasn’t.

2.Einstein, Albert

(+)He was a successful physicist (El fue un exitoso físico)

(-)He was not a successful physicist. (El no  fue un exitoso físico).

(?) was he a successful physicist? (Fue el un exitoso físico).

Answers: Yes, he was/ No, he wasn’t (Yes,he was/No, he wasn’t)

3.-Kahlo, Frida (1907-1954) and Rivera, Diego (1886-1957)

(+)They were born in Mexico. (Ellos nacieron en Mexico)

(-)They were not  born in Mexico. (Ellos no fueron nacidos en Mexico)
